Care Guide

Taking care of your aluminium powder-coated house numbers is essential to maintain their appearance and protect them from weather damage. Follow these simple steps to keep them looking new for years:

1. Clean regularly:
Dust, dirt, and pollution can build up over time. Clean your house numbers every few weeks using a soft cloth, sponge, or non-abrasive brush with mild soapy water. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft towel.

2. Avoid harsh chemicals:
Do not use abrasive cleaners, bleach, solvents, or acidic products, as these can damage the
powder-coated finish and cause fading or peeling.

3. Prevent scratching:
Avoid scrubbing with steel wool, hard brushes, or rough scouring pads. Scratches can expose the aluminium underneath and lead to corrosion.

4. Check fixings and mounting:
Periodically inspect screws and wall fixings to ensure the numbers remain secure. Tighten gently if needed to prevent movement that could cause surface damage.

5. Handle stains promptly:
Bird droppings, tree sap, or other stains should be cleaned as soon as possible with warm soapy water. Leaving these on the surface for too long may stain or dull the finish.

6. Weather care:
Powder-coated aluminium is weather-resistant, but in coastal or high-pollution areas, more frequent cleaning is recommended to prevent salt or grime buildup.
